The multi-building complex features the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Exhibition Hall, & Willow Island. Th Rising between the picturesque waters of Lake Monona and Lake Mendota, the majestic granite structure of Wisconsin's Capitol building glows like a beacon, accenting the Madison skyline. This museum opened in August of 2010. The Veterans Museum offers instructive exhibits that highlight important events in Wisconsin military history from the Civil War to the present. The museum has received national recognition for its displays. Opened its doors on July 18, 1997.
